Salman Khan Opens Up On SLB And Inshallah Being Shelved, "I Want Him To Make The Film He Wants To Make"
With only three days to go for Inshallah to roll, the film had been shelved. The recent development was shocking for the audience, and now Salman Khan has cleared the air about Inshallah
Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt starrer Inshallah, that was earlier set to release on Eid 2020 had created a lot of buzz ever since its announcement and was much hyped as fans of the actors would see Salman and Alia onscreen for the first time together. The film also was a special one as it saw the collaboration of Salman and filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali after years! However, much to the disappointment of their fans, Inshallah has been scrapped and Sanjay Leela Bhansali has decided to shelve the project.
The shooting of the film was set to schedule from September onwards and with only a few days to go,we received this rather shocking news. Salman Khan took to Twitter to post a cryptic tweet and also said that he would still surprise his fans on Eid 2020. Now, a source close to the development informed Mumbai Mirror that it was a mutual decision taken by the director and the actor after an amicable closed-door meeting. By this time, satellite and digital rights had been sold and sets built in different studios. After looking at the complete picture before shooting began, they figured that instead of Inshallah, they’d prefer to collaborate on another project in the future. Salman Khan also cleared the air on Inshallah and his friendship with Sanjay Leela Bhansali and told Mumbai Mirror, “Sanjay was a friend even before we started working on Khamoshi. He had come to meet me through Manisha Koirala. After that, we collaborated on Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. When he came to me with this film, I liked it and we decided to work together again. One thing I can say is that Sanjay won’t do gaddaari with his film. I want him to make the film he wants to make. Nothing changes between us as friends and I’m sure nothing has changed in Sanjay’s heart for me. I’m extremely close to his mother (Leela) and sister (Bela). I wish him all the best. He and I will still work in future on a film, Inshallah.”
While Inshallah has been scrapped, we still get to see Salman Khan on Eid 2020 as he has decided to produce a brand new film under his banner, Salman Khan Films. He will also be seen next in Dabangg 3 and he was recently in Jaipur shooting for the film.
